Philanthropy is a foundation stone of Dr. Jacono’s aesthetic practice. He is committed to wanting to help children worldwide who have limited medical and financial resources and who need cleft lip and palate reconstruction surgeries. Dr. Jacono is a volunteer surgeon for “BEYOND OUR BORDERS,” an organization that brings underprivileged children from third world countries to the United States for surgery to repair disfigurement due to cancer, trauma, and birth defects. In addition, he has served as Surgeon Team Leader on pro-bono surgical missions to Southeast Asia, Central America and South America, and has completed surgery on more than 500 children with Healing the Children, the HUGS Foundation and T.H.A.I. Children.

His dedication to this cause goes well beyond the operating room as in addition, for nine years, he has chaired ABOUT FACE: MAKING CHANGES; which is an annual benefit for survivors of domestic violence. Dr. Jacono has currently given 100+ pro bono reconstructive surgeries female victims. Recognized for his involvement in women’s welfare by U.S. Congresswoman, Carolyn McCarthy, and by the Center for the Women of New York, Dr. Jacono was honored with a “Good Guy” Award.

Dr. Andrew Jacono is a doting father of four children and in his free time, enjoys traveling with them around the world to experience the vast cultures and art. As an artist, he takes pleasure in figure drawing and painting; believing that his drawing skills improves his abilities in plastic surgery. Dr. Jacono is very athletic and takes part in marathons and outdoor sports such as skiing and surfing. In addition, he and his oldest son are avid alpine mountain climbers.
